Darin has a unique path to where he is today. As a Gerontologist, Darin thought he could help seniors enjoy their golden years. Darin was right, but he also found that once you are 85 and older, it is much harder to change your present financial situation or your financial future. Many seniors find themselves in a not so good financial situation early in their retirement. When Darin was attending a class in Negotiations for his MBA and Masters in Dispute Resolution, a fellow student presented Long-Term Care Insurance. Darin approached that student and found that helping people earlier in life could meet the goals Darin set as a Gerontologist. Darin still helps seniors for no charge who are all alone, not having anyone to watch over their wellbeing as his way of giving back. However, Darin now leads the pre-retirement crowd in “Planning for Their Future.” I can now see my goals coming true as people are educated through our financial workshops so they can understand how they are getting to their financial goals. Think of Darin as a Financial Coach who will educate you on your financial future so you can manage your money.

Darin still had a dilemma. He searched for a way to put a smile on every senior’s face while they were enjoying their Golden Years. He discovered that the most significant issue with seniors was Healthcare. Darin began educating seniors and became an advocate for their Medicare. His advocacy and education programs focused on Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Finally, Darin felt as if he found the Holy Grail to putting smiles on senior’s faces. Darin now educates 1000s of seniors a year on their Medicare choices. Darin is always available to help anyone with their Medicare and Healthcare needs. Seniors are Darin’s true PASSION!

Before Darin was a Financial Planner/Coach, Gerontologist, and Medicare Advocate, he served our country for 22 years and retired a military officer. He was a Professor at Loyola Marymount University, where he taught Leadership, Management, International Policy/Relations, and History. Darin also lectured at 54 different colleges and universities in Southern California as well as teaching Civil Engineering Contingency Operations in Europe for NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). In addition, Darin has five masters degrees: Masters in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Caruso School of Law, Straus Institute, Pepperdine University; an MBA, Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business; Masters in Long-Term Care, Davis School of Gerontology, University of Southern California; and Masters of Information Technology, Touro University. Undergraduate degrees are in Business, Occupational Education, and Math.
