Joey Killman is a financial educator dedicated to helping individuals and families gain the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed financial decisions. Through educational workshops and seminars, Joey is passionate about simplifying complex financial concepts into practical, easy-to-understand strategies that empower people to take control of their financial future.
Joey's background in marketing, sales, and leadership allows him to connect with audiences from all walks of life. Before entering the financial services industry, he developed experience leading teams and building relationships, which now helps him create engaging, educational presentations focused on real-world financial challenges.
As a presenter with the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), Joey believes financial education should be accessible to everyone. His presentations cover a variety of topics designed to improve financial literacy, including retirement planning, estate planning, tax-efficient strategies, budgeting, and protecting one's financial future. His goal is not to sell products, but to provide objective education that equips attendees with valuable information they can use in their own lives.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Joey is committed to lifelong learning and continually expanding his knowledge to better serve the communities he educates. He enjoys creating an interactive environment where attendees feel comfortable asking questions and leaving with actionable insights they can immediately apply.
Outside of work, Joey enjoys strength training, distance running, golfing, skiing, snowboarding, cooking, and meal prepping. He has also participated in endurance races, including the Grand Rapids Marathon and River Bank Run 25K, helping raise funds for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
Joey is proud to support SOFA's mission of improving financial literacy through unbiased education and believes that informed financial decisions begin with access to quality financial education.
