Randy Deaton is a wealth management and legacy planner and also the owner of the Louisville office of Everest Retirement Planners. He has 34 years of experience in the financial industry. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years in the banking industry and became independent in 2003.

His practice is focused on helping clients fully prepare for retirement, which includes preparing comprehensive financial plans unique to their situation and acting as a financial coach to educate them on how to make beneficial choices during their retirement years so they can continue to remain confident about their finances.

Randy follows a fiduciary standard when working with clients, which means he will act in only the best interest of his clients and ensure that all retirement advice given is suitable to the client’s objectives, needs and circumstances. Because he is an independent financial planner, he is free to draw on the wide variety of financial options available from a full range of investment and insurance companies. He is not restricted to working with limited products. His approach to working with clients is more like a financial coach where he helps people understand their range of options and educates them on what he considers the best strategies and products available in the industry today for retirement financial planning. He strongly believes in the motto: Plan First, Invest Second.®

Randy has spoken to employees of organizations both in the public and private sector throughout Louisville, including the Louisville AARP membership on retirement planning and the Kentucky Teacher’s Council on Economic Education. He also speaks to groups on retirement planning, Social Security, income planning in retirement, Medicare, long-term care planning, legacy planning and getting “fiscally fit.”

Randy has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton, Ohio. He has obtained FINRA securities licenses Series 6, 63 and 65, and is registered to do business in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, Texas and Colorado. He is also licensed to offer clients life, health, and long-term care insurance. Randy is the Louisville Chapter President for the Society of Financial Awareness (SOFA).

Originally from Cincinnati, Randy has lived in Louisville since 1994. He is married to Nadine, who was born and raised in Germany. They are the proud parents of Fiona, a tuxedo cat, and Addie, a lab/terrier mix. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, powered paragliding and travelling.
