Ryan brings over 15 years of experience in financial planning, helping clients develop strategies to preserve and grow their wealth. His background in healthcare, long-term care, hospice leadership, and finance gives him a well-rounded, client-focused perspective.

Early in his career, Ryan worked with hospital systems across the Midwest, primarily serving Medicare clients, where he gained insight into the financial impact of healthcare costs. In 2012, as a hospice director, he saw firsthand the emotional and financial challenges families face—and how short-term planning can impact long-term outcomes.

These experiences led Ryan and his business partner, Ray Kozicki, to develop their stair-step planning process, a structured approach designed to help clients build, protect, and transfer wealth while planning for long-term financial security.

Ryan is passionate about financial education and is committed to helping individuals and families understand how all aspects of their financial plan work together. He regularly provides guidance through both personal consultations and educational workshops.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Ryan moved to Iowa in 2002 and earned his degree in biochemistry from Drake University, with additional studies in finance and business.

He holds the MRFC® designation and is a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants and the National Ethics Association.

Ryan and his wife, Kelly, live in West Des Moines with their two children. He enjoys golfing, traveling with his family, and staying active through various activities.
