Wendall Kennedy is an independent financial advisor with Summit Pointe Financial, providing investment, retirement, financial, and estate planning strategies. He has helped dozens of individuals, families and business develop and implement financial and insurance plans to achieve their personal and business goals and objectives. As an investment advisor representative with Summit Pointe Financial, he holds his Series 7, 65 and 63 securities registrations as well as his insurance license.

Wendall started his career in the financial and insurance industry in 1991. He spent 10 years with John Hancock as a registered representative and financial advisor, and 12 years with Transamerica before leaving in 2016 after they were acquired by Signator Investors. Earlier in his career, he spent five years in the trust department of a local bank doing accounting for qualified retirement plans for both small and large businesses.

Since graduating from Kansas State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a focus on finance, he has continued to enhance his education. He earned his Certified Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation and is working to complete the required courses for the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation.

Wendall has been happily married to his beautiful bride, Marci, since 1990. Wendall and Marci have three sons; their oldest son works in construction, their middle son graduated from Emporia with three art degrees and works at a local glass blowing company in Kansas City, and their youngest graduated from Kansas State in 2022 with a degree in geology. All three boys are Eagle Scouts, something Wendall and Marci are very proud of.

In his spare time, Wendall enjoys spending time with his family. Wendall is a huge fan of the outdoors, and most weekends you will find him out fishing or hunting.
