SOFA in Action: How We Run Your Workshop

ree

The short version

Hosting a SOFA workshop is simple: you pick a date and topic for your audience, and we handle the rest—program design, promotion materials, presenter, facilitation, and post-session resources. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s been delivering free financial education since 1993, and we’ve done it with organizations ranging from Disney and NASA to the FBI, Paychex, and Lockheed Martin. sofausa.org

How the process works (we do the heavy lifting)

1) Quick discovery (10–15 min). Tell us about your team, goals, and desired format (virtual or on-site). We recommend a starter topic like Getting Fiscally Fit for broad appeal, then add deeper dives for follow-ups.

2) We build the session. We tailor content from 25+ topics, align it with your culture, and assign a vetted presenter. As a nonprofit, we guarantee no selling—sessions are purely educational and can support ERISA 404(c) goals. We’re also a SHRM Recertification Provider with dedicated SHRM-aligned courses (separate from your general employee workshops). sofausa.org

3) We run promo & logistics. You’ll receive ready-to-send invitation copy, a flyer/graphic, calendar language, and a registration link if needed. We coordinate AV and run the room or virtual platform.

4) We deliver the workshop. Your presenter keeps it practical, jargon-free, and interactive—Q&A encouraged. Our team customizes examples to your workforce (industry, schedules, challenges) so it resonates.

5) We follow up. Attendees get takeaways and optional resources. You get feedback notes and ideas for a smart sequence of future topics.
